The world premiere performance of 'Old Tin Lizzies on Fall River' on April 23, 2022 was a remarkable fusion of music and history.

Under the direction of Music Director Adam Torres, the Stratus Chamber Orchestra brought James M. David's commissioned piece to life. The video, featuring rare footage from the National Archives showcasing the construction of Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, synchronized with David's symphonic composition. This seamless blend of visuals and music transforms the performance in 2022 into an immersive journey through time, captivating the audience with its nostalgic allure and grandeur for us to enjoy today and for years to come.

This performance of Overture to Taras Bulba (composed by Ukranian Composer Mykola Lysenko) is dedicated in celebration of the vibrant heritage and spirit of the Ukraine people and in honor of all artistic voices which have been silenced through unprovoked aggression throughout history.

Stratus performed the WORLD PREMIERE of Kevin Poelking’s “Unexpected Places” on April 30, 2023. Poelking’s piece is a new work for orchestra inspired by Beethoven, thrash metal, and EDM, and was commissioned for Stratus for this performance!
