Step into the story—literally—and be inspired by the courage of a woman who defied the odds. This genre-defying concert will surround you with sound, emotion, and history as Grammy-nominated musician Neyla Pekarek (formerly of The Lumineers) and her Denver band join Stratus Chamber Orchestra for an unforgettable night of immersive music-making. Seated in the round, you’ll be at the heart of the action as over 35 musicians and performers bring to life the incredible true story of Rattlesnake Kate—a fearless Colorado woman who, in 1925, single-handedly fought off an attack of over 140 rattlesnakes.
Through bold new arrangements from Neyla’s acclaimed album and EP Rattlesnake and Western Woman, and enhanced by original choreography from Life/Art Dance Ensemble, you’ll be transported into a world where music and history collide. This is more than a concert—it’s an exciting journey that will leave you empowered, inspired, and deeply connected to Colorado’s past.
Join us for the performance alone or elevate your evening with a ticket to the pre-concert VIP reception.
