Radio Days
Colorado Women’s Chorale
Jennifer Ferguson, Music Director
March 4, 2016 – 7:30pm – Augustana Lutheran Church

Long before TV was the king of our living rooms, we turned to radio to inspire, soothe, story-tell, and inform. Most of us today cannot imagine a time when the radio was our primary source of entertainment. The Colorado Women's Chorale takes us back to this time with tunes from the 30s, 40s, and 50s when sounds combined with imagination painted an idealized world in our minds. Poetry by Langston Hughes and music by Aaron Copland, as well as familiar toe-tapping favorites like Nat King Cole's "This Can't Be Love" and the Chordette's "Mr. Sandman." A reminder of the Radio Days gone by!
