SCO Musician Highlight: Annastasia Psitos

Cellist Anna Psitos has been with Stratus for 7 years now, and we are thrilled to feature her for our next musician highlight!

Although she is known for her abilities on the cello, Anna actually started her musician journey as a pianist. She played piano through high school, then went on to get her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and got her Masters of Music from CU Boulder. She now works as a Software Engineer, and has been a great help to Stratus and Augustana Arts with her administrative abilities. Besides being a talented musician and software engineer, Anna is also an avid knitter, baker, and reader.

Anna’s most memorable Stratus concert is performing “O Mio Babbino Caro” with Hazel Miller, which made the whole orchestra cry.* When asked what she wishes everyone knew about Stratus, Anna responded, “I just wish everyone knew about Stratus” - well said, Anna! She especially loves Stratus for the way that all the musicians, including director Adam Torres, believe in and are passionate about music.
